- This production is part of a famous series produced by BBC of all of William Shakespeare's plays. The resulting films, renowned for their loyalty to the text, utilized the best theatrical and television directors and brought highly praised performances from leading contemporary actors. The arrival and arrest of Egeon in Ephesus brings a family crisis into focus. For elsewhere in the city, his son Antipholus and his slave Dromio are seeking their respective twins, lost to them 25 years earlier in a ship wreck. While mistaken identity mark their progress around the city, Egeon has just 24 hours to find the thousand mark ransom needed to save his life.
