- Set in 1940s Los Angeles. Two police officers, Bucky Bleichert and his partner, Lee Blanchard, investigate the brutal murder of Elizabeth Short, also known as The Black Dahlia. With a corpse so mutilated that the photos are kept from the public, the case becomes an obsession for the men and their lives begin to unravel
